Wedding: Geralyn & Benedict

Red in different shades and textures formed the floral colour palette for this wedding. Photo credits: Jasmine. A Photography

Geralyn's bridal bouquet featured red roses, mokara orchid, cymbidum orchid, eucalyptus and 'bunny tails' as she affectionately refered to the celosia amaranth.

Red mokara orchid, tea leaf and a touch of caspia for the corsages

Congratulations to Geralyn & Benedict! We were thrilled to be a part of this beautiful event.

Chinoiserie Chic

This tablescape by Nook Flowers is themed Chinoiserie Chic - a melding of old world charm and an eclectic, modern, blooming colour palette. Chinoiserie or the fanciful, whimsical, and flamboyant European interpretation of the Chinese style of deco, presents beautifully as a wedding theme.

The cool hues of the vintage blue and white porcelain - the French call it Blanc de Chine͟ - is unusually paired with flamboyant, exotic textures of flowers with bold colours. The choices of flowers utilised were roses, hydrangea, pincushion protea, snapdragons, chrysanthemums, hypericum berries, rice flower, alstromeria and anthuriums.

A White and Succulent Wedding

Wedding flowers that were literally planned from the other side of the world. The couple lived in Portland and in the months leading up to their big day here in KL all the little details were put together via a series of diligent emails and messages.

Congratulations M&J on your beautiful wedding. M's bridal bouquet featured a lush, textured mix of hydrangeas, roses, ranunculus, eustoma, and assorted jadeite hued succulents. With 5 elements, it was a large and heavy one for the bride but she loved it and we love how well this showstopper turned out!

The Groom had matching boutonnières (for day and night use) with a sampling of the mix from the bridal bouquet.

Meanwhile the rest of the bridal party were given pinned corsaged with a composition of rose and lilac hued caspia with just a touch of greenery to bring the look together.

This is the intricate root system that nurtures succulents. When used in a bouquet composition, the roots are left intact and wrapped-up carefully. That way, when the flowers have faded, the bride has the option of growing and propagating them as a growing and lasting memory of her wedding bouquet.

In case you're wondering how such delicate flowers withstood the recent heatwave we were experiencing in this part of the world - well simply put we left nothing to chance! Here's a behind-the-scenes glance at one of the mechanics put into place to make sure the flowers were optimum.

Wedding: Sherril & Anand, in a Garden by the Sea

A wedding that was 8 months of planning and full of delightful details. Sherril loved the idea of using succulents in the wedding and naturally that became our starting point. Next up came a beautiful colour palette that ranged from rich plum to jadeite green, which she shared with all attending the wedding and in true form guests arrived wearing apparels inspired by the colour theme! Next we added all the shabby, chic, rustic details and voila the pieces fell into place.

The gorgeous bridesmaids getting dolled up with fresh flowers in their hair.
Love how the jewel toned succulents in each bouquet pops out to announce its presence!

Each bouquet was just slightly different from the other - specially made for the lovely lady carrying it.

The bride and her bridesmaids. This photo perfectly describes the joy and fun that surrounded this wedding.

Fairy lights everywhere added a magical ambiance.

Single cymbidium orchid sits pretty on the place setting.

All the theme colours of the wedding gloriously made up this sculptural wishing tree.

A river of colour poured down from the wishing tree onto the table.

Submerged orchids dotted with flickering light from floating candles were placed everywhere in the cocktail area preceding the ballroom.

Ben and Sabrina - An Intimate Garden Wedding

When the lovely Sabrina Saw called and asked us to come on board for their celebration of love, we hesitated for a bit because as a rule we only take one wedding per weekend, and had already committed for another event. Long story short, things worked out and we're so glad we said YES (pun intended) as the couple were a joy to work with, and open to all the ideas we shared.

With this wedding, the key was to keep everything personalised, intimate and fur-babies' friendly as the couple's babies Samba, Steve and Gizmo were very much part of the celebrations as well. Thank you Sabrina Saw-Challenger and Ben Challenger, here's wishing you both a lifetime of happiness and blessings.

[Photos reproduced with kind permission from the bride]

Our favourite photo from the wedding. It was pouring the whole morning so this ray of sunshine was a welcome sight.

Baskets of mokara and dendrobium orchids hanging from grapevine baskets on shepard's hooks.

Understated chic with these cymbidiums in fish bowl vases surrounded by mokara orchids.

The bride and her bespoke phalaenopsis orchid bouquet.

The cosy red and white tablescape.

Such a magical sight.

Floating grapevine hearts with candles and phalaenopsis orchids. (Thank you Danny Leong for figuring out the mechanics of keeping them afloat!)

Love how gorgeous these look.
